INDEPENDENT WORK
A “nest” for the human body. As a cube, the chair abandons visual
appeal and explores tactile qualities: A hard exterior smooth to the
touch, and a soft yet crunchy interior. Olfactory qualities also are
emphasized when one sits in the chair, as the cardboard smell emits
from shredded seat.

NINE-SQUARE-CUBE PUZZLEI pushed and pulled a perfect nine-
square-cube until it became a dynamic
interpenetrating pavilion in a courtyard
SCENOGRAPHIC DESIGNAssisting choreographer Jonah Bokaer, Why
Patterns is a performance in which the visual
design emerges from a single ping-pong
ball that is introduced into a frame on stage,
initiating a series of choreographed games.
Unpredictable results trigger events that
flood the stage with thousands of balls,
which are manipulated by the movements of
the dancers as the square frame is collapsed.
NINE-SQUARE-CUBE PUZZLERichter works with different degrees of
reality. He does this through different forms
of media. For this gallery, I found one way
of arranging his works to bring questions to
the viewer and the artist such as, what is art
vs architecture , and what is representational
vs abstract
COLOR EXPLORATIONStudying fine arts before university, I explored
color theory, and application in oil painting.
I explored color harmony and complements
applied to still lifes.
SHADOW STUDIESA film exploration on the subject of human
motion and representation abstracted - in
shadow, in silhouette, in pure form.
A THEATER FOR THE CITYThe South to North Georgia. Atlanta to
Midtown and Downtown. In between those
two areaswe have Tech Square - one of the
most innovative urban pockets. I want to
emphasize and reinforce what it already has
going on.
PLACE AND DREAMINGA photography and text piece exploring the
role of dreaming and imagination in place-
making. “The house shelters daydreaming, the
house protects the dreamer, the house allows
one to dream in peace.” - Gaston Bachelard
