Page 1: Toc images photoshoot( planning and taking pictures)

This will be the only image used on my contents page other than the small preview image of the double page spread. The reason I chose this is image is because it represents the style of music and topic the issue of the magazine has for the month. The image which was taken on a busy street during the preparation of carnival show the dark light in the background but the bright costume the dolls use. As you can see flash was needed as this image was taken during the evening but once I’ve changed the brightness, levels, contacts, effects and cropping on adobe the image will look a lot more appropriate for the content page. The enhancement used on this image will allow the doll to stand out as well as the movement around the picture. The image which has been taken from a long shot has various objects in the background which will be cropped out, therefore the image will look professional and it will hopefully grip the reader’s attention.

The yellow border shows how much of the image will be cropped. This suggests that the focus will be mainly on the doll than having many other objects around which could distract the reader’s attention.

The main feature of the image(the doll) will be hugely enhanced therefore the levels of brightness and contrast will be increased/decreased so that the image will blend in with the rest of the contents page.

The concrete ground which bright will be adjusted in terms of brightness. This will allow the doll to stand out more and it can also change the perspective of the way the image was taken. Although the image is a long shot it is also been taken on a slight angle of low shot instead of being centred, therefore the minor details like the dolls trainers won’t stand out as much.

As the image will be cropped, small details such as the lamp will not be in shot. As the lamp is bright this can be a distraction for the reader and it won’t grip their attention of the main headlines and stories.

Tools such as erase, magic tool, lasso tool, brush, fill/gradient will all be used to enhance my image as well as making it stand out, eye catching and professional
