Train-the-Trainer for RN’s “on-line only”
Successful completion of this IDPH approved course will qualify RNs currently licensed in Illinois to develop and teach the Basic Nursing Assistant Training
Program (BNATP), including the Alzheimer’s portion of the curriculum. Instructor
requirements include a minimum of two years nursing experience with at least
one year of RN experience of caring for the elderly or chronically ill adult, or of
teaching theory in an accredited nursing training program.

Course Structure:
The Train-the-Trainer, Alzheimer’s portions, and the Approved Evaluator Components of this course are all online. During 6 weeks of online instruction, students will spend time completing readings, discussion postings and assignments. 50 contact hours are earned. Basic computer skills are needed to complete the course.
No face-to-face requirement!
