OPENING HYMN Come, Now, Almighty King
Come, now, almighty King; Help us your name to sing;
Help us to praise.
Father all-glorious, O’er all victorious,
Come and reign over us, Ancient of Days.
Come, now, incarnate Word; Put on your mighty sword;
Our prayer attend.
Come and your people bless, And give your Word success;
Grant us your righteousness, Savior and Friend.
Come, holy Comforter; Your sacred witness bear
In this glad hour.
Your sev’nfold gifts impart; Now rule in ev’ry heart;
Never from us depart, Spirit of Pow’r.
CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION
P: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
P: Beloved in the Lord: let us draw near with a true heart and confess our sins to
God our Father, asking him in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to grant us
forgiveness.
C: Holy and merciful Father, I confess that I am by nature sinful and that I
have disobeyed you in my thoughts, words, and actions. I have done what
is evil and failed to do what is good. For this I deserve your punishment
both now and in eternity. But I am truly sorry for my sins, and trusting in
my Savior Jesus Christ, I pray: Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.
4
P: God, our heavenly Father, has been merciful to us and has given his only Son
to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Therefore, as a called servant of Christ
and by his authority, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
GLORY BE TO GOD

PRAYER OF THE DAY
P: The Lord be with you.
Almighty and eternal God, you have
given us faith to affirm the glory of the
eternal Trinity and to worship you as
One. Keep us firm in this faith and safe
with you forever. For you live and reign,
one God, now and forever.
Dios todopoderoso y eterno, nos has dado
Tu vives y reinas,
un solo Dios, ahora y por siempre.

FIRST LESSON Numbers 6:22-27
22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron
and his sons, ‘This is how you are to
bless the Israelites. Say to them:
24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’
27 “So they will put my name on the
Israelites, and I will bless them.”
PSALM OF THE DAY Based on Psalm 150
P: Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary;
C: praise him in his mighty heavens.
P: Praise him for his acts of power;
C: praise him for his surpassing greatness.
P: Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
C: praise him with the harp and lyre,
P: praise him with timbrel and dancing,
C: praise him with the strings and pipe,
P: praise him with the clash of cymbals,
C: praise him with resounding cymbals.
P: Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
C: Praise the Lord.

SECOND LESSON Romans 5:1-5
3 Therefore, since we have been
justified through faith, we have peace with
God through our Lord Jesus
Christ,2 through whom we have gained
access by faith into this grace in which we
now stand. And we boast in the hope of
the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also
glory in our sufferings, because we know
that suffering produces
perseverance; 4 perseverance, character;
and character, hope. 5 And hope does not
put us to shame, because God’s love has
been poured out into our hearts through
the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
1 En consecuencia, ya que hemos sido
justificados mediante la fe, tenemos paz
con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor
Jesucristo. 2 También por medio de él, y
mediante la fe, tenemos acceso a esta
gracia en la cual nos mantenemos
firmes. Así que nos regocijamos en la
esperanza de alcanzar la gloria de
Dios.
VERSE OF THE DAY Isaiah 6:3
Alleluia. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord
Almighty; the whole earth is full of his
glory. Alleluia.
¡Aleluya! ¡Aleluya! Santo, santo, santo es
el Señor Todopoderoso; toda la tierra está
llena de su gloria Aleluya!
GOSPEL Juan 16:12-15
M: The Gospel According to Saint Luke.
12 “I have much more to say to you, more
than you can now bear. 13 But when he,
the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide
you into all the truth. He will not speak
on his own; he will speak only what he
hears, and he will tell you what is yet to
come. 14 He will glorify me because it is
from me that he will receive what he will
make known to you. 15 All that belongs
to the Father is mine. That is why I said
the Spirit will receive from me what he
will make known to you.”
12 »Muchas cosas me quedan aún por
decirles, que por ahora no podrían
soportar.
14 Él me
conocer a ustedes.
M: This is the Gospel of our Lord!

SERMON HYMN Oh, that I Had a Thousand Voices
Oh, that I had a thousand voices To praise my God with thousand tongues!
My heart, which in the Lord rejoices, Would then proclaim in grateful songs
To all, wherever I might be, What great things God has done for me.
Shall I not then be filled with gladness? Shall I not praise you evermore
And triumph over fear and sadness, Although my cup of woe runs o’er?
Though heav’n and earth shall disappear, Your endless love is ever near.

NICENE CREED
I believe in one God, the Father, the
Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the
only Son of God, eternally begotten of
the Father, God from God, Light from
Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made, of one being with
the Father. Through him all things
were made. For us and for our
salvation, he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and
the virgin Mary, and became fully
human. For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate. He suffered death
and was buried. On the third day he

Y creo en un solo Señor Jesucristo,

Dios de Dios, Luz de Luz, verdadero
Dios de verdadero Dios, engendrado
y no hecho, consustancial al Padre, y

judge the living and the dead, and his
kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord,
the giver of life, who proceeds from the
Father and the Son, who in unity with
the Father and the Son is worshiped
and glorified, who has spoken through
the prophets. I believe in one holy
Christian and apostolic Church. I
acknowledge one baptism for the
forgiveness of sins. I look for the
resurrection of the dead and the life of
the world to come. Amen.

M: The Lord be with you.
M: Lift up your hearts.
M: Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God.
M: It is truly good and right that we should at all times and in all places, give
thanks to you, Holy Lord, almighty Father, everlasting God, through Jesus
Christ, our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit is one God, one Lord, whom

LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed
be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy
will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and
forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive
those who trespass against us; and lead
us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil. For thine is the kingdom and
the power and the glory forever and
ever. Amen.
Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu nombre. Venga a nos tu
reino. Hágase tu voluntad. Así en la tierra
como en el cielo. Danos hoy nuestro pan
de cada día. Perdona nuestras ofensas
como también perdonamos los que nos
ofenden.
WORDS OF INSTITUION
M: Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night he was betrayed, took bread; and when he
had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat;
this is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
13
Then he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it,
all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for you for
the forgiveness of sins. Do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
The peace of the Lord be with you always.

DISTRIBUTION OF HOLY COMMUNION
God’s Word teaches we should examine and prepare ourselves before receiving holy
communion. It requires that we recognize the true presence of Christ’s body and
blood. It also teaches that communion is an expression of our unity in the faith.
Therefore, we ask guests who are not members of our church or one of our affiliated
churches to meet with our pastor before
receiving communion.
SONG OF THANKSGIVING

CLOSING PRAYER
M: We give thanks to you, almighty
God, that you have refreshed us

Te damos gracias, todopoderoso Dios,
porque nos has renovado por medio de
este sacramento, y te suplicamos que
por tu gracia nos fortalezcas por medio
de este mismo sacramento en fe para

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
Perfect in pow’r, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
