Dear Ana,
(1) Thanks for your letter and the photo. I’m glad you had a good holiday on the

geography. We can choose any country to study. I’ve chosen your country, Brazil. I
didn’t realize it was so big. It sounds like a really interesting place.
(4) Did I tell you I’ve started guitar lessons? I’ve learnt a couple of songs but I’m
still not very good. I’ve also been helping Mum and Dad on the farm which is very
tiring. Next week if the ferry is working, I’m going to Mark’s party. Don’t you think
it’s good?

Dear sir,
On Nov 5, I bought a ticket for Semarang at your agent at
Rawa Mangun bus station. The fare was Rp. 85.000,-.
According to the agent, the bus that would take me to my
destination was air-conditioned and had reclining seats. The
bus was also equipped with toilet and video.
At about 4 in the afternoon I arrived at the bus station and
I must point out that the bus was really different from the
one told by your agent. The bus was not equipped with the
air conditioner. It didn’t have reclining seats either. I
complained about this, but the agent just said that it was
the last bus to leave that day. I didn’t have any choice at all.
It was a nightmare for me to be on your bus. Telling you the
