ABERDEEN VETERANS CELEBRATION
AT ABERDEEN LAKE PARK
Saturday and Sunday November 7 & 8 1:00 PM
This event will focus on the importance of Aberdeen's military history and will
be held at Aberdeen Lake Park, sponsored by the Town of Aberdeen. There
will be a military swap meet, a showing of the 1962 movie "AIRBORNE" shot in
Aberdeen, Fort Bragg, and Camp McKall, and you'll see one of the area’s most
interactive and informative military displays ever. We thank you for your
support, because we acknowledge that none of this would be possible without
you, our community, our family.
Celebrate our Veterans with a screening of Black Hawk
Down presented by the Veteran Golfers Association
(VGA). Tom Sizemore and LTG Mike Ferriter will be in
attendance as well. The VGA is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit
organization committed to promoting the game of golf
to veterans and their family members. The VGA
develops programs that allow our members to compete,
socialize and remain physically active through the game
of golf.
