The new comprehensive K-8 school is located on a 15-acre site within the new Irvine residential village of Orchard Hills. The school is adjacent to a public park at the northwest corner of Culver Drive and Settlers and will explore joint-use opportunities with the city park.

The K-8 school is master planned to house 1,200 students and contains 45 teaching stations with other facilities totaling 110,000 sq.ft. Aside from classrooms and laboratories, the program includes kindergarten with play areas, specialty classrooms, administration, library, multi-purpose/food services, and gymnasium, track and sport fields.

Through a series of interactive programming meetings with the school district and the community, the project was designed with both integrated features, as well as segregated components that the design committee desires for the district’s first K-8 school. The project is to be in accordance with Design Guidelines set forth by the Tustin Unified School District and The Irvine Company.
