Title slide layout
• Keep the title short and concise — 2 lines maximum– Create a subtitle to shorten a title — Main topic (title) followed by
supporting message (subtitle)
• Do not use company or product logos in your title or subtitle
• Use title case format for main title and subtitle– Exception: Use sentence case for subtitles with longer messaging
• Example of sentence case use for subtitle: Presenting breakthrough secure computing platform for cloud computing, big data and RISC migration
• Avoid the use of “&” in place of “and”– Use “and” unless commonly used in a proper name (Ex: Johnson &
Johnson)
• Do not repeat Unisys after the presenter title or department
– Exception: Use when co-presenter represents another company
• Choose an image for the title slide that complements the Unisys color theme (found on slide 29) and visually supports the presentation theme

Title with bullet content
• Bullet copy should be sentence case with exception of proper nouns
• Bullet copy should not end with “.” or other punctuation• Bullet content should not consist of multiple sentences that
would ordinarily be separated using punctuation– Use an “—” or “( )” or “:” to offset a word or phrase– Use a subbullet to show hiarchy in messaging or to support a main bullet
point• Use 2nd level subbullets judiciously (Best practice is to limit content to main
bullet and 1st level subbullet)
• Do not use “&” in place of “and”– Exception: When commonly used in a proper name (Ex: Johnson &
Johnson)• When bullet copy formats to multiple lines, correct widows
(single word on last line) with soft return

Title with paragraph content
If slide content has one main message, then there is no need for a bullet point. Use paragraph format in sentence case with standard sentence punctuation. Single space between sentences.
GUIDELINE: Emdash vs. endashThe proper use of an emdash (—) is to offset a word or phrase. Example:
Many people seek help from naturopathic medical professionals — those who emphasize using diet, exercise, meditation, and other tools for improving health.
An emdash is also used in front of an author’s name.
Poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of the dictionary. — Kahlil Gibran
An endash (–) is used to connect two items (usually numbers) that designate a range:
We submitted chapters 10–12 well after midnight.

Smart art and info graphics
GUIDELINE: Lower case or title case can be used when labeling info graphics. Be consistent. The type of content most used, i.e., proper nouns, product names, or generic icon lables should dictate your choice.Be sure to give the text in your shapes some breathing room on all sides either by decreasing the font size or enlarging the shapes. When using icons in infographics, be sure to use the same style throughout your presentation. Refer to the Unisys Brand Center to download icons from the icon library. This will ensure a consistent look throughout your presentation.Use the PPT default theme colors as found on slide 29 when creating smart art.
Do this…
Not this…• Uses color not
found in Unisys color theme
• Boxed content looks crowded
• Mixed case usage
