■ A position paper outlining recommendations forchanges to Japan’s National Health Insurance drugpricing system has been published by the USPharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers ofAmerica (PhRMA), reports Marketletter: Pharma NewsDaily. The PhRMA perceives a number of problemswith the country’s current system, namely in the areasof pricing of new drugs, revising prices of already-approved drugs, costing of biological products, andinsurance coverage of drugs with additional indicationsand preventive medicine.
