Three Simple Steps
1. Submit a completed USF Application and the
non-refundable $30 application fee to the Office
of Admissions either in person or online at:
www.stpete.usf.edu/enroll.
Important note: You must designate your campus
preference as USF St. Petersburg on your application
for it to be properly processed.
2. Submit your transcripts. To complete your application,
you must ask your high school to send a sealed, official
transcript to the Office of Admissions & Records.
3. Submit ACT and/or SAT scores. Contact the College

F or more than a decade, the University Honors
Program has offered academically gifted, highly
motivated students an exceptional college experience
that is not only challenging but broadens and deepens

In small seminar-style classes, students receive

member. Specifically designed honors seminars span
the sciences and humanities and offer an unusual

The professional advisors in the Advising Center
can help students accomplish their academic
goals. Our freshman advisor specializes in working
with first-year students by assisting them during the
transition from high school into their intended majors.
Upper-level undergraduate advisors are affiliated with a
specific college and address the unique needs of students
pursuing undergraduate degrees offered by that college.

The USF St. Petersburg Office of Financial Aid and
Veterans Services provides information on grants,
scholarships, campus work study and loans. Additionally,
the Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Services provides
forms and assistance to students with Veterans Educational
Benefits. Prospective students may visit our Web site,

with any questions they or their parents may have.
Scholarships
Incoming freshmen are automatically considered
for Admissions Scholarships using their admissions
application. Other scholarship opportunities are available
to USF St. Petersburg students on our Web page, and
require a separate application process. Our Web site
includes a database of more than 200 outside scholarships
and a link to the State of Florida programs for
additional resources.

Overlooking Bayboro Harbor, the Nelson Poynter
Memorial Library is an inviting place to read,
research or relax. Poynter Library offers a 230,000-volume
print and media collection, knowledgeable and helpful
librarians and 47 public networked computers.
It also provides library or desktop access to the extensive
resources of the USF Library’s electronic collection of
online databases, journals and e-books. Poynter Library
Media Services offers USF St. Petersburg identification
cards, supports classroom media technologies and
provides support for distance learning classes.

W e want students to succeed academically
at USF St. Petersburg and living on campus
significantly impacts their success. Research tells us
that students who live on-campus are more likely to
stay in college and graduate on time, often have better
grades, are more involved in leadership and civic
activities, and report greater satisfaction with their college
experience. Students who live in the residence hall
have opportunities for interaction and involvement that
commuter students do not share.
Student housing is located near Bayboro Harbor with
wonderful waterfront views and close access to parks,
shops, restaurants and museums. Affordable double-
or single-occupancy suites are available. Each suite is
furnished with bathrooms, a living room and kitchen
with appliances. Rental rates cover all utilities, local
telephone service, extended cable TV, high speed internet
(50 Mbps) and a superb security system.
