Who can apply?Scientists, technicians, postgraduate students orpost-doctoral fellows from developing countriesand countries with economies in transition(priority is given to early-career scientists).

• Large-scale, operational biologicalobservations including biodiversity and otherbiological Essential Ocean Variables (e.g.Continuous Plankton Recorder and otherprograms)
• Emerging technologies for ocean observations• Coastal observations/ Coastal zonemanagement
• Oxygen and other biogeochemical sensors onFloats and Gliders
• Time series measurements of N�O and CH�• Ocean observations and modelling in theIndian Ocean
• Ocean and coastal modelling• Optical measurements of living and non-livingparticles

What does the fellowship offer?Funding to spend between one and threemonths at another oceanographic institute,anywhere in the world, to receive training onany aspect of oceanographic observationanalyses and interpretation. The fellowship isNOT intended for an academic course of study,or for research.
