Vocavio API: mobile device application.

The system has an input and output via an implementation of the Representational state transfer (RESTful) API.

INPUT:• To input data for processing, a number of pieces of information needs to

be passed, along with an audio file.

• A session ID needs to be passed so that there is a unique identifier not he system and all analysis output can be kept under that session ID. The web service can provide a session ID if asked or the system inputting data can provide its own ID, at least 12 characters long.

• A pilot ID (either “A” or “B”) needs to be provided and a wav file, ideally 16Khz 16 bit, along with it. Once two audio files with the same session ID are uploaded, the engine analysis them.

• On each file upload, the system provides a response, confirming that the upload was successful or an error message explaining that it was unsuccessful.

OUTPUT:To query the system and download a report, a session ID is input, which will return a JSON response containing EITHER (i) a message indicating that the report is still being generated or (ii) an error message explaining that the report could not be generated or (iii) the report. Restricting access so only an end user can see their data is handled external to the engine, by the end-user system setup to use and query the engine.

Connectivity:Connections to the service are encrypted via SSL and access is limited to set IP addresses or a range of IP addresses.
