WITH REGARDS, FROM THE SCHOOL HEAD Dear all, Hari Om! Through this second issue of our news letter of 2017-18 I convey my greetings to all the stakeholders in the school. With your support and cooperation the school is taking greater strides towards achieving excellence in every field of teaching and learning. Since e newsletter is an attempt to give you updated with the latest happenings in the school so in this issue we put forth the result of board exams and other activities conducted in the first quarter of the session.
We wish to look forward to your interest in the affairs of the school and time to time cooperation for bringing about the desired change in your ward through the education imparted in the school.

Rain Dance on 21.07.2017 To encourage children to participate in co-curricular activities, Primary section of our school organized RAIN DANCE. The students of classes PREP to II participated enthusiastically in the same. The Dance Party was followed by a Class Picnic . The students enjoyed eating delicious snacks. After Class Picnic, children were engaged in an educational movie. During the entire activity , children were very happy. They got the following benefits from it -

Mahasamadhi Diwas on 03.08.2017
To commemorate the Samadhi Day of Gurudev and acquaint the students about life & work of Gurudev the school organized a Special assembly. It was conduct-ed by Honesty House. Lighting of the lamp was done by Principal Shri A.K. Ti-wary, Academic I/c & Primary I/c. Bhajans and student’s talk was presented . Speaking on the occasion, Principal Shri A.K. Tiwary enlightened the children with the wisdom of Pujya Gurudev and his vision for Chinmaya Mission. He ex-horted the students to follow the path guided by Gurudev. Puja was conducted in Puja room, food packets & clothes were distributed to poor and needy. The school reverberated with spirituality.

Independence Day Celebration on 15.08.2017
The school celebrated 71st Independence Day of our beloved mother land India with the assembling of students in the assembly ground. They were excited to cele-brate India 71st Independence Day with a lot of fan-fare. The pride of our nation, The Tricolour was unfurled by the Principal Mr. A.K. Tiwary. The unfurling of the flag was followed by National Anthem and speech by Mudita Mishra of Class-XII. The school choir presented a melodious Patriotic song and the Principal of the school addressed the august gathering. The address left children and teachers filled with zeal, vigour and pride. The programme commemorated with Vande Mataram. This event helped to inculcate patriotism in students. The students re-membered our martyrs and thanked them to help us breathe in the free air of our beloved country. They valued being free as a boon and vowed to keep our nation’s pride first and foremost, always before thyself.
Janmasthami On 14.08.2017
To commemorate the Birthday (Janma-utsava) of Lord Krishna and acquaint the students about life & work of Lord Krishna. Special assembly was conducted by Honesty House. A talk on Janmashtami was given by a student. Melodius bhajans and a colourful enchanting Raasleela Krishna- dance was performed by school students under the guidance of our dance teacher Mrs. Pooja Mishra and Music teacher Mr. Akash Nagar. The Kingdom of Mathura was under deep peril and misery under the rule of King Kansa. The merciless king had a sister known as Princess Devaki, whom he loved dearly. He married his little sister to Vasudeva with much splendor and magnificence, when suddenly the cloud roared with a prophecy that the eight son of Devaki and Vasudev would be the cause of his death. The merciless king took over the loving brother and he immediately threw Devaki and Vasudev into the prison or 'Karaghar'. The students came to know of the significance of the Day and learnt about the life of Lord Krishna and the message given by Him.
Special Event - Swami Prakarshanandaji’s Visit on 17, 18, and 19.08.2017
Swami Prakarshanandaji alongwith Shri Anil Chaudhary, COO, Chinmaya Mission, Delhi visited our school on 18th of August 2017. One Special assembly was held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Swami Prakarshanan-daji along with Shri Anil Chaudhary, COO, Chinmaya Mission, Delhi and Principal Shri A.K. Tiwary lighted the lamp and cultural programme was presented by the students. Prior to this Purnakumbhakam was recited to welcome Swamiji. The assembly concluded with address by Swami Prakarshanandaji advising students to work hard, be punctual and take interest in studies. It was a very motivating session.
The talk by Swamiji motivated the students and they were delighted to hear words of wisdom from Swamiji. It helped students to develop mentally & emotionally.
Inter House G.K. Quiz For Junior
On 25th August 2017
Quizzing is a playful way to increase and enrich the knowledge. With the same as-piration and spirit, a G.K. Competition (Quiz) was organized for classes Prep to 5th. Inter House G.K. Quiz started with prayer followed by participant’s introduc-tion. Quiz was conducted in 3 sessions. 1st session was held for Class Prep where 8 selected tiny tots were categorized in 4 teams. The 2nd session was held for Class 1 & 2. All four house team members participated with full enthusiasm. 3rd session was for classes 3, 4 & 5. This session was divided into 5 rounds. All the three ses-sions were full of joy and excitement. Participants as well as the audience were overjoyed with the variety of Questions, asked in the PPT. The quiz successfully concluded under the wise guidance of Primary Head (Mrs. Ajita Bose) and Prima-ry Activity Incharge (Mrs. Kalpana Sharma). They were invited as judges.
Freedom Quiz On 29th August 2017
The main objective of the activity was to create an awareness among the students of our school to know about the importance of the freedom movement of India. On the occasion of 75th Anniversary of Quit India Movement a campaigning called “New India Mission – Sankalp Se Siddhi”. The Social Science Department conducted Freedom Quiz for the students of Clas-ses IX to XII. The supreme objective of the activity was to glorify our past and to know from students how much they are aware about the freedom movement and the Sacrifices done by Indian leaders along with common people. Students will be able to recapitulate our freedom movement. They were benefited to understand the Sankalpa of Mahatma Gandhi and other political leaders of India taken on 1942. They can understand that if they will take the sankalp for any work they can achieve their goal that is Siddhi like freedom of India in 1947.
Teachers’ Day Celebration on 05.09.2017
“ A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge sprinkles them with love and patiently nurtures their growth to produce tomorrow’s dreams” . To honour the teachers for their efforts in illuminating the future of their students teachers Day was celebrated in the school with full fervour. The Principal of the school Mr. A.K. Tiwary was honoured by NTPC Unchahar for his conscientious efforts and making the school touch newer skies. Three Teachers were also hon-oured by NTPC Unchahar with the ‘Best Teacher Award’ prize viz. Mrs. Ashita Grover (std.Prep to V) ,Mr. Lalji Shukla( VI to IX) and Dr. Jay Singh (std. X to XII) for their diligence and dedication. The students made the day special for their teachers with a spectacular cultural programme and left them enthralled. The students were enlightened about the importance of a teacher in the lives of millions that they touch.

The event started with the arrival of our esteemed guests Smt.Ramani Thyagara-jan, Executive Director CCMT Education Cell and Smt. Archana Soni, the Princi-pal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar, at 7.50 a.m. The lighting of the lamp was done by our guests and the Principal of the school Mr. A.K.Tiwary. The spe-cial assembly was well conducted by the students of Sincerity House and had an interactive quizzing section and a soul stirring melodious Bhajan. All the students were left mesmerized and enthralled by listening to the motivating and enlighten-ing words of Ramani Amma. The students understood the importance of conduct-ing an assembly well. They were motivated by Ramani Amma’s presence and motherly love of Mrs.Archana Soni.

The Primary Head welcomed the guests – CCMTEC Executive Director Mrs. Ramani Thyagarajan and Mrs. Archana Soni – Principal Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar followed by prayer, thought and news. Student talk was delivered by Astha Gupta - topic – chanting Bhagwat Gita in schools. A bhajan (Vaishna Bajanto Tene Ka-heya, Peer Paraye Jane Re.) was presented by Aarav Pandey, Geeta chanting was conducted by Shouryavi. Almost 10 children of the class presented the dance drama – topic – Navrati – where the children portrayed the message of “Victory of Good over Evil”. Where Goddess Durga was shown defeating the demon king Mahisasura. Hence all the other gods and god-desses, humans etc sang praises of the Divine Mother and involved her to seek her blessings to help remove inner and outer enemies involved from our life. Importance of team spirit was emphasized various cultural aspect was highlighted, where children know more about their own country, children also were introduced to value patriotism with an universal outlook. They also know the different importance of festivals along with a moral behind it. God is the Supreme Positive Power and with this aim, the children also benefited as it also focussed on Integrated Development and Holistic Development of the tiny tots, ‘Yatha Drishti, Tatha Shrishti’ - Aim was fulfilled.
Workshop on
Chinmaya Vision Programme To guide the teachers on effective implementation of CVP and value based educa-tion.The event started at 08:00 a.m. and was a continuation of previous day ses-sions. Third & fourth session focused on intellectual and spiritual development of Integrated Development component of CVP. In fifth and sixth session Mrs. Rama-ni Thyagarajan discussed about Indian Culture & Patriotism followed by seventh session on Universal outlook. Post lunch session highlight was value education & value based education. After all the sessions was the concluding session of the workshop which was scintillated by singing of melodious Bhajan by teacher choir. The programme concluded with Chinmaya Aarti & feedback session. Teachers were rejuvenated and motivated by the workshop. They were better equipped with CVP and its implementation in the class room.
