Please take special note of our Charlie Lanza Memorial Corned Beef Dinner Fundraiser set for Wednesday March 11 at the Ponte Club. We are going to need a large number of volunteers for this event, so please set aside that evening and plan on helping us. You are also going to receive tickets to sell for the dinner in January and we would like everyone to sell as many tickets as they can ahead of time so we can have a pretty accurate head count a few days before the dinner. Last year we raised over $7,000 on this dinner and I'd like us to at least approach that figure this this year. I'll hope to see you all next month. In the meantime Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo to you and your families. Yours in UNICO,
Frank Travisano
It's hard to believe that it is almost Christmas and 2015 is right around the corner. My mother was right; the older you get the faster time goes by. Our Christmas Party was the best attended one we've had in years. We collected a large amount of toys and when I delivered them to the Salvation Army the next day Major Lock's wife came over to me to personally thank Unico for the donation. She said the need for toys was very great this year and when I asked her how many children they were trying to provide for and she told me 2,000 I was blown away. But it also made me proud that our organization contributed the toys we did and that we collect for the Army at one of their Kettles every year.
As many of you know the WARC party had to be postponed from it's original date to the following Sunday because somehow the Elks Club double booked their catering hall. Because of that I told the Director of WARC that we may not have as many volunteers at the party as we usually have because of possible prior commitments. Well much to my pleasant surprise we had our usual fine turnout. I want to thank Bob and Dorene Rinaldi, Lia Ursini, Sandy Harrison, Don Mancuso, Ernie DiPietro, Clare George, Bianca Daniels, Ken Lamberti and Dave and Palma Famiglietti for taking the time to participate. We all had a wonderful time. Elsewhere in the Newsletter you will see an upcoming list of meetings and activities.

Thanks to all who contributed a toy to our toy drive at the Christmas party. Chapter President Frank Travisano brought the toys to the Waterbury office of the Salvation Army on Central Avenue. Major Annette Lock was there to greet him and expressed her gratitude for our donation.
