News and Events Support the Catholic Home Missions Appeal today!
Right now, over 40 percent of dioceses in the United States are
considered home missions because they are unable to fund essential
pastoral work needed in their communities. Your support funds
programs such as religious education, seminary formation, and lay
ministry training to build vibrant faith communities right here in
the United States. Please be generous. More information can be
found at www.usccb.org/ home-missions. The special envelopes for
this collection are in the back of church. You can still bring your
donation next weekend. Thank you to those who have already
contributed! CCD News: Teachers meeting at 10 a.m. at the St. Ben’s

The Strasburg Knights of Columbus are raising money to purchase an
A.E.D. (Automatic External Defibrillator) for placement in the Sts.
Peter & Paul Church. This life saving device can help a person
in cardiac arrest regain a heart rhythm. The estimated cost is
approximately $1400. This will be an ongoing project, but hope your
donations can help us quickly realize our goal. Please mail, or
drop off donations to Alice at
the Strasburg Rectory, or drop it in the collection basket in an
envelope marked “Knights of Columbus A.E.D. Fund”. Thank you to all
who have donated to this worthy cause! MinisTREE: Catholic United
Financial and St. Mary’s Council #244 are excited to reintroduce
the Minis TREE program to our parish. Volunteer opportunities will
be recorded on MinisTREE activity cards (leaves) and hung on the
“MinisTREE” located in the back of church. All parishioners are
encouraged to review the “leaves” or volunteer guide for activities
that interest you and fit your family’s schedule. By participating
in this program you are filling an unmet need and financially
supporting our religious education program. Once you have completed
the volunteer activity, sign the card and drop it in the MinisTREE
box. For every “leaf” turned in, Catholic United Financial will
contribute $4.00 up to a maximum of $400 in a calendar year, to
support our CCD program. Any questions please contact Cil Van Beek
