Prelude
Silent Prayer of Preparation Father God, You know the needs and concerns I bring with me this morning. Help me set them aside during this next hour, so that I can fix my eyes upon You. Use this time to teach me more about You, and to guide me in giving You the praise You deserve. Open my ears, Lord, and help me hear Your word. I love You. In Christ’s name, Amen.

† Call to Confession LectorLeader: Let us now confess our sins against God and our neighbor as we pray in unison the
Prayer of Confession.
† Prayer of ConfessionGod of life, in our sin we fall short, and our lives miss the mark. We draw the circle of Your love too small, favoring ourselves and excluding others. We yearn for treasures that perish and overlook Your blessings that endure. Our devotions to You ebbs and flows, depending more on our circumstances than on Your never-failing love. Only You, mighty God, can free us from the prison of our sin. Forgive us by Your powerful love revealed in Jesus Christ, our Savior. Redeem us, that we may fulfill Your will and proclaim to all the world the wonder of Your forgiving love.
† Kyrie #574 Lord, Have Mercy Upon Us Arr. Johnson
† Assurance of Forgiveness LectorLeader: The promise of God is this: As far as the east is from the west, so far will God remove the
sin of those who love Hom.People: God gives us hope for forgiveness and new life. We believe that in Jesus Christ our sin
is forgiven. Thanks be to God.
