APICS Corporate Development team
Commitment to Chapter Sales Support• APICS remains committed to providing resources to support chapter
sales with a focus on building holistic corporate relationships and a pipeline of opportunities for chapters• APICS has created a new Corporate Development function led by
Peter Bolstorff that will combine all corporate sales activity including SCOR, Corporate Services, and the DBDM program to simplify partner engagement and better serve customers• APICS is investing in chapter sales support and demonstrating
commitment to this program by making the territory BDMs full-time APICS employees effective January 4 • Josh Meyers will lead the team focusing on NA territory business
development; he knows our products, how to sell them to corporate accounts and how to engage chapters to deliver training
Corporate Development Team Structure• The Corporate Development team is now organized into five groups
that work together to win, delight, and serve customers• Business development groups:
• New Accounts: New account sales, onboarding, and corporate sponsors• Key Accounts: Existing, Global 2000 account growth• Territory Accounts: Field sales and coordination with APICS chapters • Sales Operations: Management of “back office” processes• Corporate Programs: Business development and capability delivery
Why so much change?
• 1st change, because we hired an APICS minded person and not a Sales minded one.• 2nd change, because we asked a Sales Manager to do the Sales job.• 3rd change, because Abe is committed to the program but it is not
getting the expected/required results (only 4 orders have been closed in over 18 months of trying)• Derinda Ehrlich leaving APICS also was cause for reexamining the
approach.
• Peter Bolstorff joining APICS brings new energy and enthusiasm for both our brand and our products, and thus makes perfect sense as the right person to lead this effort
New product offerings
• Based on feedback from our Partners, Chapters, customers and candidates, APICS Professional Development is pleased to announce a new education selector and two new product offerings that will be available in January 2016: • 1. APICS CPIM Self-Study Kit• 2. APICS Online, powered by Accenture.
• Both new products were created for candidates who are unable to attend an instructor-led class, but need quality material to help them study for the CPIM exams.• CPIM Self-Study Kit will be available in e-Download and printed
versions. The kit will include the CPIM Self-Study Guide (formerly the CPIM Self-Study Notes), exam content manual and the exam simulator. • APICS Online, powered by Accenture combines the CPIM online courses
with a How to Use Guide, exam content manual and the exam simulator.
