Dear People of Holy Family, St. Mary’s and St. Anthony’s:
After the Lord was baptized, the heavens were opened,
And the Spirit descended upon him like a dove,
And the voice of the Father thundered:
This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.
Last week I asked to the people whether do they like this cold,
Most of the answers were NO, but every time I ask about the weather you
don’t forget to ask about my situation. You ask you me, “Have you adapted yourself to this
climate?” My answer is probably NOT YET. I am not used to this cold weather. I am tired of
wearing two pants, jacket, shoes and gloves. It is Wisconsin so I am getting to face this cold
weather. Kindly pray for me so that I may not get any sickness.
We have begun the New Year and again we have started all our parish committee meet-
ings in all Thursdays. I personally thank all the committee members for their support and
guidance for the last year. I hope that this coming year also will be very nice to all of us here
in these three parishes. I hope that I am always available to you and you could reach me any-
time through my cell phone, email, texting or through office number. If you are unable to
reach me, even then you could knock my door and say hi to me. I am happy to work with you.
I wish to have many people to be involved in our parish activities and committees. Let our
Good Lord be with us in all our undertakings.
THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Baptism of Our Lord. This brings to an end
the season of Christmas. The Church recalls Our Lord's second manifestation or epiphany
which occurred on the occasion of His baptism in the Jordan. Jesus descended into the River
to sanctify its waters and to give them the power to beget sons of God. The event takes on the
importance of a second creation in which the entire Trinity intervenes.
Jesus is the beloved Son of the Father. He is the light of the nations and Lord of all
creation. Today we are all called to be beloved sons and daughters of our God and by that we
become sisters and brothers of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ORDINARY TIME
After the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, Ordinary time begins. Ordinary time begins
on Monday, 14
th
January and continues through Tuesday, 5 March, the day before Ash
Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season. It will resume when the Easter season
ends, that is, on Monday, 10 June, the day following Pentecost.

God bless you all.

Dear Parents and Community Members,
Those of us leading Faith Formation classes have noticed
that in the past, many students have missed classes the
week of semester exams in order to study. This year, we
are recommending the students have this week off from
Faith Formation (CCD) classes to study, and instead, hold
a prayer in-service over the kids on January 16
th
. We are
inviting all parents and grandparents of school age chil-
dren and parish and community members to join the Faith
Formation teachers:

Supper of the Teenagers We could use families to sign
up to provide food for the evening CCD classes. Could
any adult parishioners or grandma/grandpa's help to pro-
vide food for the students? Simple foods-hotdogs, barbe-
cue, ham or pizza. We have ovens to bake them in- with
chips and a dessert. Koolaid, milk or other drink. They
are not fussy - just hungry. Please help. Call 715-7443-
