What is Thermal Analysis ?
Thermal analysis or methods are based upon the measurement of the dynamic relationship between temperature and some property of a system such as mass , heat of reaction or volume .
What purpose of thermal analysis ?
1)About thermal stability . 2)Which temperature occurs which reactions . 3)About change of situation with temperature .
Classification of thermal analysis
Thermal analysis are classified into four types ,such as 1) TG (Thermo gravimetry) 2) DTA (Differential thermal analysis) 3) Enthalpymetric method
Definition of Thermogravimetry
Thermogravimetic analysis is defined as , the mass of small is recorded continuously as its temperature is increased linearly from ambient to as high as 1200◦C .
The Application of Thermogravimetry
This figure illustrates one of the important applications of thermogravimetry , namely that of defining thermal conditions necessary to produce a pure weighing form for the gravimetric determination of species . This recorded thermogram obtained bby increasing temperature of pure CaC2O4.H2O at a rate of 50 /min. The clearly defined horizontal region correspond to temperature range to which Ca compound are stable.
