Gray WolfWith no bag limits and no closed season, there’s almost no reason to not add a wolf to your adventure.Gray Wolf population in B.C. is considerably high, thanks to a diet of mature ungulates like deer & moose; the Canadian Government estimates there’s over 11,500 wolves.Add on a Wolf tag to any hunt for just $75!
Over 6,500 moose roam game management unit 5-2, states the British Columbia Government in a recent game population survey. Approximately 25% of management unit 5-2 is our exclusive guiding territory. This means we have in excess of 1,600 moose on our guiding territory! We cover this expansive territory in a 4x4 CrewCab pickup truck for maximum opportunity and overall comfort to you.We harvest mature bulls only from a 35” to 50”+ spread. We do not allow harvesting of immature bulls. The greatest chance of harvesting a bull moose is during the rut, this typically runs from mid September until mid-to-late October.Book one or our Moose combo hunts to bag a moose, black bear, mule deer, & more!
Our bears grow big in the Cariboo, fed well on fish, berries, and hay bails. There are more bears in British Columbia than anywhere else in North America, including Alaska; population estimated at 150,000! Most bears harvested are between 5 1/2 & 6 1/2 foot — and some will square up to 7 foot! Your guide is with you at all times, and will assist with judging the size of the bear and the quality of the hide, ensuring you've selected a good bear. A spot and stalk black bear hunt is truly an enjoyable, challenging hunt. It’s just you and the bear. One on one. Head to head.

Cougars are kings of the Canadian wilderness, capable of taking down a 600 lb moose! A large number of cougars (aka Mountain Lions) congregate in our area, weighing over 100 lbs and measuring 9 feet in length. We’re proud to have some of the world's largest cougars on our territory, having harvested a number of Boone & Crockett trophies. In 1997, we bagged the #20 all-time Boone & Crockett record book cougar & in 2000 we harvested another cougar that made top 25.If you’re looking to bag a record book Cougar then call us to book your hunt.

Game and trophy care
We understand the value of your trophy animal, so that’s why we take game and trophy care very seriously here at Cougar
Creek Lodge. After you harvest an animal, your guide will field dress it and transport it back
to the lodge. Here we have outdoor tables, hooks, & racks readily available. We also work with a local butcher who will cut, wrap, freeze,
and prepare your meat to be taken home. Any unwanted meat can be donated. We also have a local taxidermist who has been doing an excellent job for our hunters for many years. And because of the good exchange rate, you’ll find the prices to be quite reasonable.Using the right equipment and the right knowhow is critical to any hunt, which is why we provide you with everything you’ll need for an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
Once you arrive at William’s Lake, British Columbia, Airport or Fraser Inn meeting place, we will transport you to our modern 4,000 square foot, 8 bedroom, 3 bath Log lodge - Cougar Creek Lodge.
During your stay with us, we will provide you with everything necessary for a good hunt. We’ve got internet, comfortable beds, scenic views, an outdoor deck and darn good food.
Our chef will prepare all of your meals, and our hunters always go home with full bellies and great memories. The cost of food and lodging is included in your base hunt price.
Our Guide Outfitter, Shawn Dalmon, has over 30 years experience guiding on our territory. He employs only experienced, knowledgeable, highly-qualified guides and
assists them in locating your game and providing you with an enjoyable hunt. All his guides have been BC Guide outfitter association certified and have 20+ years experience guiding.
