The Dubai World Cup on March 30,
2013, is one of the region’s most
anticipated events for fashion trend
setters. It’s the perfect opportunity to
pull that something special out of your
wardrobe and dress to impress. Here
are a few tips to make sure you stand
out for a glamorous and fun night out.
INTRODUCTION
GENTLEMEN MEYDAN
GRANDSTAND
GO ALL OUT.
If you’re a man of tradition and want to pull out all the
stops to look the part then nothing beats a well-fitted suit.
Team a solid coloured suit with a dress shirt, tie and bright
coloured handkerchief in your pocket for a flash of colour.
There’s always the opportunity to add individuality with
a well-chosen shirt or tie. You can also really stand out
from the crowd with a lounge suit or get patriotic in your
national dress.
We draw the line at jeans, t-shirts, trainers, flip-flops
and shorts. These are strictly prohibited in the Meydan
Grandstand.
LADIES MEYDAN
GRANDSTAND
Ladies, this is the time to dazzle and look tip
to toe perfect, the Dubai World Cup is every
fashionista’s dream.
Well-chosen accessories to balance your outfit
are key. Choose an elegant dress or skirt and
blouse combination teamed with a striking hat
or fascinator to make a statement track side.
Remember, if you put a lot of effort in your
stylish outfit you can always run for the Jaguar
Style Stakes competition and win fantastic
prizes.
There’s a world of choice when it comes
to occasion dressing but ladies should be
courteous and avoid the following:
REVEALING ATTIRE.
Skirts and dresses should be knee-length or
below, necklines should be demure, midriffs
should remain covered and see through
materials left at home.
EVENING GOWNS.
This is not a gala event so please avoid them.
The best outfit will cross between day and
night seamlessly.
NIGHTCLUB WEAR.
The atmosphere may be electric at the races
but ladies should not dress as though they are
attending a nightclub.
