WAVE ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is a software that is capable of managing assets of an organization. This software acquires the assets, allows the user to set depreciationrate and calculates depreciated amount for the sameIt helps organizations toplan betterand finds the optimum balance between maintenance and operations. This will help to increase the uptime of assets and reduce inventory costs to increase profit

What is asset management? Asset management is defined as “systematic and coordinated activities and

practices through which an organization optimally and sustainably manages its assets and asset systems, their associated performance, risks and expenditures over their life cycles for the purpose of achieving its organizational strategic plan.”

Asset management focuses on all types of assets, varying from critical or strategic physical assets to software assets.

This system has following modules

• Master This module allows user to create account set, add categories, add groups &

location, cost centre, choose depreciation methods i.e. daily, weekly, quarterly, monthly or annually. It allows user to set a unique asset ID & generate bar code of the desired asset.

• Company settings This module allows user to manage details of the company. It allows to save

company’s name, address, city, Phone No, Fax no etc. It allows creating user and specifying their role in the organization. Here one can change password & control authentication.

• Acquisition This module allows user to acquire assets, add its details and categories it. It allows the user to specify batch number, batch date, entry number, Acquisition

Account, transaction type & date of the assets.

• Projection This module projects the depreciated amount for the user to see, however this

amount is not implemented on the asset until user selects POST option. It only displays the depreciated value; it doesn’t apply this value to the asset.

• Depreciation This module sets the depreciated amount on the selected assets. It allows the

user to select a time period for calculating depreciated amount, include assets by specifying their category, cost center, location, group, account set & asset ID and finally calculate depreciated amount applying PROCESS action.

• Disposal This module allows the user to dispose the assets which are of no use to the

user. Module allows user to dispose the assets which use needs no more and can add additional disposal amount as well.
