1959 • Born in Richland Center, Wisconsin. • Parents: William Cary Wright and Anna Lloyd Jones.• Family moved to Madison, Wisconsin when he was 12. • In 1885 he left Madison without finishing high school to work for Alan Conover (the Dean of the University of Wisconsin’s Engineering department). • In 1887, Wright moved to Chicago to pursue his dream of becoming an architect.• Wright married Catherine Tobin, moved to Oak Park, Illinois, where they raised five children.
