INFORMATION ECONOMY• Economy in which knowledge
is the primary raw material and source of value. It is characterized by convergence and integration of communication and data processing technologies into information technology, pervasive influence of IT on economic activity and application of IT networks throughout the economic institutions, organizations, and processes resulting in a very high degree flexibility, weakening of regulatory control, and acceleration of globalization.
IE IN EUROPE
• With the appearance and expansion of information technology the level of using of new developed systems has grown rapidly. Especially, in Europe.
The market increase in mobile phone penetration rates in developing countries points to the role of mobile telephony as a “digital bridge”, which will help many developing countries reduce the connectivity divide that separates them from others with more developed fixed-line infrastructure.
INTERNET
• The Internet has continued growing worldwide in terms of users and penetration. Although developed economies still account for the majority of Internet penetration, developing economies are slowly catching up.
CLOUD COMPUTING
• There has been extensive adoption by individuals in developing countries of free cloud services such as webmail and online social networks.

Cloud computing is a recent manifestation of this evolving ICT landscape. Given its potential, it is becoming increasingly important for Governments and enterprises. In simple terms, cloud computing enables users, through the Internet or other digital networks, to access a scalable and elastic pool of data storage and computing resources, as and when required.
