An AUCTION Example..
End Value price in the market for Krugerrand.. £750.00
Bidder adjusts his bid to allow for premium & Vat ( say Auc on Premium 17.5%
and VAT is 15% on premium)- so bid less. - £147.18
So Hammer price…. Is say £602.00
Seller pays Commission & Vat.
(say fees agreed @ 15% plus VAT) - £104
Amount in real terms the Seller receives = £498
When selling for example to Elm Investments. (see Directory).@ c.£750
You have just given away £252 !!! - if you sold at Auc on.
In reality – would you sell a £5 note for £3 ?
Clearly this difference leaves a lot of opportunity for an ethical ‘offer’ which
gives the seller a be er deal –
and you a profit.
