The Challenges

Portfolio Accounting

Custodial Files

Risk and Performance

Reporting

Data resides in multiple systems

It's extracted and assembled into unstructured data...formats, file locations, or fields

Data is moved or copied multiple times by different departments to address a number of filings and/or processes

And turnaround times are short

Accounting Financials

Multiple Data Sources Extracted & Assembled

Data Proliferates & Is Over-handled

Dan MacKenzie
Leah, you asked about the third column, here is my response:Version control and change control - Once data is extracted it's used by different departments, and morphs into new data. The new and existing data gets used by other people, rekeyed (and miskeyed) and basically uncontrollably evolves as ut's used and passed around. I'm thinking it'll be clearer with the voice over/discussion
