Problems of current surveys

v  Mostly related to the test development itself but not to the theoretical model

§ Perception: it assess the emotion elicited in the observer instead of the emotion showed.

§ Use: connection between performance of these tasks, and the “using emotion” abilities is not clear.

§ Managing: There is not enough evidence for whether and how theoretical knowledge is related to one’s actual ability to manage emotions Source: Maul, 2012

CONCLUSIONS

v  MEIT is not an adaptation of MSCEIT, it is an “evolution” in the EI assessment.

v  MEIT is finished but, at the same time it is always “under construction.” We appreciate your feed-back to improve the App.

v  We are open to international projects and collaborations with universities and/or companies.
