Coffee

Rugasira [founder of Good African] has followed his own advice. The company built a global coffee-exporting business by sharing profits 50/50 with its10,000 farmers and their communities, most of whomare in the Ruwenzori Mountain area of Uganda.

The introduction of a new Arabica coffee variety increases yields for coffee farmers in the Rwenzorimountainous sub-region.

Each coffee tree of the new variety yields 4 kg compared to the old variety that produces 2 kg.
