The Friends of Konza Prairie invite guests to join on their annual wildflower walk on June 1st

Reservations are not required!

Non-member fees are $10/person and $2/child under 12.

Friends of Konza Prairie members are free. This two-mile guided hike will be from 6:30 p.m. This time of year the peak of wildflower season. More than 50 species of native prairie plants are expected to be in bloom along the trail. Bring your camera!

Elementary Art Class Our art program for kids is in full swing and the boys and girls are having a blast. This program is free for children K-5th grades. Saturdays from 12pm-1pm we explore a fun art concept along with a bit of the history behind it. Join us at the C.L. Hoover Opera House, 135 W 7th St. Junction City, upstairs in the JC Arts Council. Be ready to have a great time! LIL' EMERGING ARTISTS Li’l Emerging Artists class is for the pre-school child. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay with their child and help facilitate the lesson. Artist and instructor Naomi Williams has many years experience providing art programs for children. In this class little ones are introduced to color theory and create art work from a wide range of materials. Your little emerging artist will have fun with the teacher and will have a chance to socialize with other pre-school children. Classes are at the JCArts Council at 135 W. 7th in Downtown Junction City (the C.L. Hoover Opera House) at 9 AM on Wednesdays. Classes are $6.00 each. We meet monthly at varying locations in the Manhattan community. Join us for great food, make some new friends and build a support team filled with folks who know what you are going through– because they are too!
