British Soccer Camps 2014 - June 2-6, 2014, Fort Riley Youth Sports Colyer Manor Youth Sports Fields Event Details: A national Soccer Camp designed in helping with each player‘s development and providing memorable and positive experiences. Challenger Sports' British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the country based upon one of the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the US and Canada. Our experienced staff study the game at all levels and we have identified the key techniques and skills that your players need to work on and master to reach their true potential. With programs for each age, the curriculums includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a mini tournament play. Players also learn about our core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership. Enjoy flowers in their natural state!

The Friends of Konza Prairie invite guests to join on their annual wildflower walk on June 1st

Reservations are not required!

Non-member fees are $10/person and $2/child under 12.

Friends of Konza Prairie members are free. This two-mile guided hike will be from 6:30 p.m. This time of year the peak of wildflower season. More than 50 species of native prairie plants are expected to be in bloom along the trail. Bring your camera!

10% of all the sales of the evening will be donated to the Fort Riley USO. In case you didn't know, the Fort Riley USO is the only USO in the

state of Kansas and supports all the military installation needs in the entire state. Lets show them our continued support of the great work

they do for our Kansas service members and their families.

Elementary Art Class Our art program for kids is in full swing and the boys and girls are having a blast. This program is free for children K-5th grades. Saturdays from 12pm-1pm we explore a fun art concept along with a bit of the history behind it. Join us at the C.L. Hoover Opera House, 135 W 7th St. Junction City, upstairs in the JC Arts Council. Be ready to have a great time! LIL' EMERGING ARTISTS Li’l Emerging Artists class is for the pre-school child. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay with their child and help facilitate the lesson. Artist and instructor Naomi Williams has many years experience providing art programs for children. In this class little ones are introduced to color theory and create art work from a wide range of materials. Your little emerging artist will have fun with the teacher and will have a chance to socialize with other pre-school children. Classes are at the JCArts Council at 135 W. 7th in Downtown Junction City (the C.L. Hoover Opera House) at 9 AM on Wednesdays. Classes are $6.00 each. Punchcards for five classes may be purchased for $25.00 for members and $30.00 for non-members. Email us at [email protected] to inquire about registration.

Is your spouse deployed, TDY or on a rotation to NTC or JRTC? Not at home with you? Then we want YOU! Come join the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Yellow Ribbon Social Group! We meet monthly at varying locations in the Manhattan community. Join us for great food, make some new friends and build a support team filled with folks who know what you are going through– because they are too!
