Response to quotes about journeys

We will write responses about quotations about journeys. Examples:

“The road of life twist and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.”

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and it has made all the difference.”

“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.”

Introduction

“I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” is the autobiography of Marquerite Johnson, later known as Maya Angelou. In this memoir, she remembers a special time in her life when she worked in her family’s store and first met Mrs. Flowers.

Through her vivid portrayals of events, the reader experiences Marguerite’s insecurity, her love of family, her church and school experiences which were so important in her growning up.
