I have gained a lot of knowledge about the second amendment. My basic knowledge

was that the second amendment meant that we could have a gun legally in our

homes. But by doing this project I found that there is way more than that. The second

amendment was written in 1791 and it was made so that the colony people could own

guns incase the government got out of control and they needed to take over the

government. I believe it still has some extent of that today. This amendment means

that anybody who is not a felon can buy a gun legally. This amendment is to ensure

that the government can never take this right away from us. This means that if we are

of age we can buy any amount of guns that we want whether its one or a whole

arsenal, we can buy these guns and keep them in our private homes without the

government taking them away. This is the basic stuff I have learned about the second

amendment.
