OpenSim: NOT a Second Life clone! (Viewers are) 3D virtual world with built-in modeling
(CAD) tools and Linden Scripting Language Not a game (per se): connect, communicate
and collaborate (conduct commerce later?) Been in OpenSim since 2008, taken over
100 students inworld for different classes Completely FREE, although hosted
solutions best for most schools

Differences between Second Life and OpenSim?
With OpenSim: Complete management of your virtual
world. (No one gets in or out without your permission. )
More freedom to set parameters. Unlimited land, lower costs, etc. Best: IBO or International School GridBut…still buggy…can be more work…etc.http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Main_Page
