What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

I think Bauer Media; publishers of Q, Mojo and Kerrang would be the best to distribute my magazine. These are all mostly rock/metal magazines; however my magazine “Highway to October” is mostly hip-hop/rap, and some indie rock. I feel like my magazine could fill a gap in the publishing, and would bring the company a new audience of teenagers/young adults. I chose Bauer over Time Inc. UK because aside from NME, they do yacht and shooting magazines. NME already covers some hip-hop/rap, so I don’t feel like my magazine would add to their audience or name. However, the music magazines published by Bauer Media aren’t advertised to the rebellious teenagers of today. My magazine is rather explicit in nature, and so may not be accepted into publishing. But, Kerrang had plenty of explicit language, so this could work in my favour. Q magazine covers some hip-hop, but not much, so my magazine would be better for this.
