cycle of a plant?

• seed stays dormant if it does not have right conditions to germinate

Most seeds that plants make never grow to be plants.

ways seeds move:

1. carried by animals-seeds hook on animal

bur

2. eaten by animals

3. wind

4. water

mosses• reproduce by spores

(single tiny cells) in 2 step cycle

• need moisture to germinate

• 2 step life cycle:

1. Plant makes spore

2. Male & female cells combine

Ways to grow new plants from plant parts:

1. Bulbs (tulips)=underground stems

2. Cuttings from stems, plants or leaves

3. Grafting
