A recruiter’s viewpoint

Three reasons recruiters use LinkedIn:

• Knowledge seeking

• Target recruiting

• Networking (Groups)

InMails v. Introductions

• Recruiters use paid plans to be able to contact

candidates without utilizing the “introduction”.

• Strategy in targeting is key for reputable

networking and referrals.

• Include all keywords, titles, certifications

demonstrate your expertise

• Create a public profile

• Join industry groups

A recruiter’s viewpoint

Build your own network

• Start with those in your niche – at all career

levels, and expand to include those you

work with indirectly.

• Seek out Recruiters who specialize in your

niche space.

• Target your network expansion to include

where you’d “like to be” in your career.
