Poster • For inspiration we look multiple range of posters in our genre such as ‘The

Dark Knight’ and ‘The Equalizer’.• At the top of the movie poster you can see that we've add the main actors

of the film as this is one of the main conventions of a film poster. By laying it out like this it has made the poster more professional also the layout of the production team and various production teams which is at the bottom the of the poster.

• Another way we made it similar to the professional posters was by using capital and bold letters to give the poster a more professional look.

• For the poster we kept the poster colour black, blue and red the reason for this was it was the colour's of the poker chips.

Magazine• When it came to creating our magazine front cover we used Empire’s The A

Team and Inception edition to base our work off. The reason we used the codes and conventions of this film magazines was so we could produce a professional magazine front cover. The reason why we used this magazine editions was that it linked into our genre which was Action/Crime/Thriller.

Magazine conventions • Our magazine front cover we produced does not challenge the

conventions of the look of a professional magazine for things such as the strap lines and composition and quality of the image which looks like it was done in a studio with a professional photographer. But what challenges the convention is the over exposed red/orange colour which done in post production is not what you typically see in a professional magazine.

Influences on our Trailer • For inspiration for our trailer I used ‘The A Team', 'Limitless”,

‘The revolver’ and ‘The Equalizer’. The reason we used these trailers was that they where in the same genre as our trailer so it would inspire us to get ideas that we we could develop into our own trailer.

Trailer Conventions • Our trailer we produced has not challenged the conventions of a

Crime/Action/Thriller. We used ‘The A Team’ and limitless for inspiration but not to the extent to copy it. But what we used the trailers for where to get shot types from the trailers and also editing styles.

Other Conventions In Our Trailer

• Other conversations in our trailer we things such as the soundtrack which where similar to what you would see in a professional trailer this was said by the focus group when we showed them our trailer.

• Also we made sure to tell the actor to ware dark clothes in the trailer as it would fit in it the a Action/Thriller conventions.
