GANDIA
Gandia, with population over 75,000,and over200.000 in summer, is a city in the Valenciancommunity, Eastern Spain on the Mediterranean. Gandia is located 65 km south of Valencia and 96 km north of Alicante.There are two zones, Gandia City, which has allthe historical monuments, commercial activity, and shopping, and Gandia beach, where we can findapartments and summer residences.

CLIMATE The climate in Valencian Community is
Mediterranean: very hot and dry in summer (about 30ºC- 35ºC). During the rest of the year the temperatures are mild. In winter, there are about 10ºC and 2ºC minimum of temperature.
These most important rains come in autumn and spring.

Abad Sola is a religious school founded by a community of nuns. It’s a semi-private school.
In the school there are approximately 320 students.
In our school there are three levels of education: Nursery school: 2-6 years old pupils.
Primary school: 6-12 years old pupils.
Secondary school: 12-16 years old pupils.

In secondary there are 120 studentsapproximately.
Classes start at 8’30 a.m. We have a break time at 11’15 a.m. At 1’30/ 2’30 p.m. we go home for lunch. On Monday and Wednesday we go back to
school from 3’00 p.m. to 4’45 p.m.
SUBJECTS
Compulsory subjects are Physical education, Maths, Spanish, History and Geography, Sciences, English, Arts and Valencian language(it’s the second official language spoken in ourregion).
We have also some not compulsory subjects.
