ready to celebrate Jesus’ birth.

The first Sunday of Advent is the beginning of the Christian Church's

year.

Why have an Advent Wreath?

• The wreath is -a circle to show that Gods love

goes on -and green to show new hope. • The four outer candles are for

the four Sundays of Advent

• The Candle of JOY

• A fifth candle is sometimes lit in the middle to celebrate the birth of Jesus
