Analysis of mood board and generic conventions of Techno/Electro pop as a genre

I have created a mood board of techno/electro pop album covers. I did this to help me to create an idea of what the generic conventions of techno/electro pop in order to assist us in our creation of a techno/electro pop music video and our two ancillary products.

My mood board is shown above. The first judgement that you can make straight way about it is that it is extremely colourful. There is almost a complete spectrum of colours shown. This has connotations of energy and lively actions. Another thing that catches your eye is the amount of people that are actually shown on the album cover. This means that techno/electro pop album cover will be likely to feature a person on the cover with a medium/close up camera distance. Another clear image is title of the album. All of the covers have a very clear title that is centralised on the page or near the top of the page. Both of these placements have connotations of importance and help to signify how valuable the album name is to the album.Overall there is no significant conventional style you can draw from the album covers. This is because it is completely diverse and encompasses a very fun-loving atmosphere.
