People are motivated to learn when they see relevance to their real-life situations and are able to apply what they have learned as quickly as possible. 7. Internal factor:Adults are motivated to learn because ofinternal factors such as self-esteem, desire forrecognition, natural curiosity, innate lovelearning, better quality of life, greater self-confidence, or the opportunity to selfactualize. 8. Principles of Adult Learning:-- Adults must recognize the need of learn.-- Adults want to apply new learning back on the job.-- Adults need to integrate past experience with newmaterial.-- Adults prefer the concrete to the abstract.-- Adults need a variety of training methods.-- Adults learn better in an informal, confortableenvironment.-- Adults want to solve realistic problems.-- Adults prefer the hands-one method of learning.
