African Elephants are the largest land mammal in the world, males growingfrom 12-13 feet, 7-8 tons (14,000-16,000 lbs)!
Elephants grow their whole lives.
Their trunks are used to breathe, communicate, lift objects, and the trunk can hold up to 2 gallons of water!
The trunk has two finger-like appendages that can pick up items as small as a dime!
Guinea baboons are an Old World Monkey, and the smallest species of
baboon.
The average age for Guinea
baboons is 25-30 yrs.

White Rhinos are not named for their color, but by the Afrikaan’s word “weit”, meaning wide mouth.
The natural habitatof the White Rhino is the Savanna Grasslands.
Giraffes
The natural habitat of the African Lion is in the rich grasslands and sandy deserts.

done by the females lions.
A lion’s roar can beheard 5 miles away!
Their tongues are black and can extend up to 20 inches!

The Kodiak bear has one of the most powerful senses of smell in nature.

Ring-tailed lemurs live in a matrilineal society (dominated by a female).
Gibbons are found in the upper canopies of Asian forests.
Gibbons swing quickly through trees with a
hand-over-hand motion called brachiate
swinging.
Asian Small Clawed Otters are the smallest in the world (2ft long and under 10 lbs).
Otters let their collected clamssit in the sun so the shells will open. Then the otters wash their food before eating!
