Animatic Feedback

Question 1

From the 8 responses I have received all of my target audience have replied that the background music in the animatic is conventional for a horror film with the storyline that I have chosen. The background music contributes to the build up of tension and creates a sense of fear for the audience and the onscreen characters. From receiving 100% reply for ‘Yes’ I can see clearly that it was a popular choice for my target audience.

Question 2

From the feedback I received from my target audience I can see that the use of editing techniques such as fade to blacks and cuts are used well within the animatic. It shows a good representation of the final product and the effects that they will have within the animatic. This represents the animatic as conventional for a horror genre. From receiving 100% reply for ‘Yes’ I can see clearly that it has been effective towards the target audience. .

Question 3From the feedback I received from my target audience I can see that the use of editing techniques have been effective within the animatic. The target audience have said that it creates a build up of tension and fear, due to the use of the fast pace editing. This shows that the audience get the overall effect that is intentionally being conveyed. Also, the fact that the majority of the target audience replied with similar answers suggests that the background music is conventional for a horror trailer.

From the 8 responses that I have received I can see that the camerawork used I conventional for both a trailer and its genre. The use of the animatic and shot list paired together is a good representation of the final product and the effects that they will have within the animatic. This represents the animatic as conventional for a horror genre. From receiving 100% reply for ‘Yes’ I can see clearly that it has been effective towards the target audience. .

Question 5

From the 8 responses that I received from my target audience I can see that the camerawork that is discussed to be used will work effectively within the final product. However, there is one improvement to include more close ups, so this will be considered when creating our final trailer. This shows that the audience get the overall effect that is being conveyed through the camerawork. Also, the fact that the majority of the target audience replied with similar answers suggests that the camerawork used will be conventional.

Question 6

From the feedback that I received from target audience I can see that the basic storyline that is being conveyed through my animatic. It is detailed enough for the audience to decide whether they think that they will watch the final product. All of the target audience have said that they will watch the final product due to the conventional storyline. This shows that the audience get the overall effect that is being conveyed through animatic.
