AP Physics (Physics II) Who should take AP physics? Any student interested in the field of engineering. Who can take AP physics? Any student who has taken Physics I or Honors Physics I and is interested in taking a second year of physics. AP Physics is a second year physics class. The class spends the first semester covering topics in electricity and magnetism.
