Globe TheatreThe Globe Theatre is the famous theatre in London where William Shakespeare worked. It was built in 1599 by Shakespeare's actors company, “The Lord Chamberlain's Men”. It was destroyed by fire on 29 June 1613. Most of Shakespeare's greatest plays were written for the Globe, including Hamlet, Othello and King Lear.
