DESCRIPTION
Since 1995 Arbor has been replacing environmentally harmful materials with ecologically based, natural alternative to create their snowboards. For the most part Arbor was the only environmentally friendly alternative available and many people looked at Arbor and saw them as the ‘tree-hugger’ stereotype, a stereotype that Arbor gladly embraced. Now, after twelve years of hard work and dedication Arbor has remained a rider owned and operated company and is proud to be known as the pioneer of ecologically-driven, rider-oriented design. Arbor’s unique approach has allowed them to develop an independent voice and arrive at today’s fusion of green innovation and expanded environmental awareness.

Since 1995 Arbor has been replacing environmentally harmful materials with ecologically based, natural alternative to create their snowboards.
Arbor uses environmentally friendly, natural elements to create all their snowboards.
In 2007 Arbor received the Future Snowboarding Magazine’s “Green Award”.
In 2007 they gave 5% of their profits to the Nature Conservancy’s Hawaiian-based efforts.
They have also support: The Surfrider Foundation, Rainforest Action Network and American Forests.
All their catalogues, dealer kits, mailers, and posters are printed on recycled paper stock that is made form 50% pre-consumer fiber and 25% post-consumer fiber.
Arbor uses soy inks which, compared to petroleum based inks, are much more sustainable to produce and are better for the environment, especially the air.
The soy inks make the catalogs more biodegradable and easier to recycle.
Environmentally Friendly Facts
Full Wood TopsheetWorks like a 3rd layer of fiberglass - during construction resin locks the dense wood fibers in place, creating a composite layer that structurally enhances a board, providing added return and durability, while allowing for important weight reduction.
Poplar Wood CorePoplar is still the best choice as a primary wood core material due to its combination of lighter-weight performance, durability, and availability.
Ecotechnologies
A versatile true-twin for rippers who rule from park to peak. A structural Waterwood top, balanced flex, and progressive shape make this charger ideal for hitting everything from park floaters to hidden backcountry kickers - from naturals to man-welded features.
Ecotechnologies
A big-mountain gun for riders who want the highest level of on-edge performance. Carbon a-frames, a powerhouse tail, and a structural wood top deliver the muscle needed to lock and hold a deeply carved line, while providing tight control in the steeps and on-demand stability at speed. The inlaid maple, walnut, palisander top honors snowboarding’s surf roots.

Paulownia Wood Core AdditivePaulownia is a fast growing, plantation-cultivated species that we use an ultra-lightweight, balsa-like core additive. Unlike balsa, paulownia strength is similar to traditional wood core materials, which allows us to deliver maximum weight reduction, without reducing durability.

During construction resin locks the dense natural fibers in place, creating a composite layer that structurally enhances a board, providing added return and durability, while allowing for important weight reduction.

Designed for women who surf mountains, with a structural bamboo top, directional shape, and lively flex that deliver energetic initiation, reliable control, and the ability to express a clean line in all conditions.
