Throughout the journey of contrasting our media product, there was a lot of other pieces of work to complete and when it came to getting work from one place to another it was easiest to use Dropbox. Dropbox is an easy to use organisation tool that stores your work online. Though I am new to Dropbox I still find it easy and have not come across any issues with it.

PublicationThe most obvious use of technology is through Wordpress, the website used to organise and publish my blog posts. However this helped a lot as it helped me keep files safe by putting them in a draft but also helped me organise myself by making sure my blog posts were all completed.

Another website used to publish something was survey monkey this was used to publish my questionnaire that sourced my data from the Audiences and Research post. This was very useful as it created the graphs for me saving me the trouble.

Publication

We also used a popular website, YouTube.com to publish our drafts, so that every time we completed a draft we would post it to our YouTube accounts and send it to our teacher or post it onto our blog. This was the easiest and simplest way to do it, it also made it much easier to access our pieces for us whenever we wanted e.g. To show someone for research.

PublicationWhen making my evaluation and making posts more interesting I used a huge range pieces of new technology; these could include apps or websites. I used an app called Adobe Voice to create unique, attention grabbing videos.

I also used my own research of innovative ways to present information to find an app called Knovio, this app lets you import slides from a PowerPoint and record over them, this includes voice recording and video recording.

I also used a popular presentation tool called prezi.com, I used their app to create a professional, innovative PowerPoint like file.

Lastly I used a very useful website called slideshare.net to post documents and present them easily as they embed in to Wordpress very easily, letting the audience click through it as they please.

ContactWhen mid construction we had to make sure that everyone knew what we were doing and when, also it helped us brainstorm while at home and in school. This assisted us in completing our horror film as fast as we could.

Without it our communication would have been limited to in school time.

ProductionThe most important piece of technology we use throughout our construction; Adobe Premiere Pro.

This is where we did the majority of our editing, we used it nearly everyday up until we had our first draft. We specifically used dip to black and exponential fade. These were used to fade out our footage and fade out our music, this was specifically useful to make our piece seem more professional. We also used warp stabiliser to ensure that our shots were steady and stable, this gave our shots a more effective look due to their steadiness. Most common used tool was the razor and the in and out device, this was essential as it meant we could pick and choose what went in.

We also implemented the use of a green screen, which was homemade. We put it over the mirror to make it seem like someone else was looking back at out protagonist. The use of this chroma key gave an effective and professional look as it looked realistic.

Extra ProductionWe also use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After effects

We used After Effects to create our titles using a camera lens blur to create the fade out on our titles. We learnt how to use titles in lesson and then created our own. We downloaded a custom font called Toms Handwriting. This gave the titles a professional effect and look.

We also used photoshop, the use of this was minimal but if we hadn't of used after effects our titles would've been made on there. Specifically we used Photoshop to create the handheld camera fret using a custom font downloaded from dafont.com, we also created the red dot on here, when added to our piece it helped us achieve and capture the essence of a real handheld camera and the effect commonly seen in scenes similar in horror films.

Softwares I Plan To Use

I plan to use many more pieces of technology, specifically apps, one app that I have been searching for is called GRID, it offers you a document to edit but has lots of options that make it easy to use.

Other apps that I may use are ShowMe, Explain Everything and BaiBoard. However I doubt I will use all four.

Additionally I am researching software for a computer that will enable me to record my Directors Commentary easily and quickly. A member of my media class made me aware of one called BlueBerry Flashback.
