The Pitch:

We pitched our idea for “Bleeding Out” to the rest of the class, giving them the narrative plot, who we want to use, what costumes and make-up we think would be effective, who the video would be aimed for, and last but not least, the location.

This was a good experience because it meant that we could get some initial feedback from some people in our chosen age-group (teenagers and older), and see if they liked the idea, what could be changed, if it was strong or weak etc.

Good Points:

“A clear idea”“The genre and lyrics have been well

analysed”“Subverted from the stereotypes”“Interesting storyline”It reminded some people of the following

things:Avatar (Tribal people)Lynx AdvertsMidsummer Night’s Dream (fairies and tribes)

Points to think about:

“Complex”“Complicated idea”“A lot of people will be needed”“Some people (extras) may lose interest later

on”

What I’ve learnt…

From the feedback, it has generally received positive views, which has made me more confident.

I understand that the idea is complicated, but I believe that if we can make it work then it will look really good, and will be something we’ll be proud of.

I hadn’t thought about what it reminds people of, and their ideas really helped me think about how the make-up for the Tribe can be done, in particular.
