Progression of Radio Advert
After opening up Premiere, we imported all the video files of the interviews. Furthermore, we imported the soundtrack we wanted to use as background music and voice over we had initially recorded.
We then dragged the clips onto the track and unlinked the video and audio so that we could delete the audio. Then, we cut out the sections of the interview we wanted in our trailer in accordance with our script.
We the adjusted the audio channel of the clips so that sound came out both the left and right to help control the sound levels.
Next, we put the clips into a sequence following our script.
After selecting and cutting out sections of the backing track, we added it onto the track underneath the clips from the interview.
After playing the trailer back, we decided to use a different section of the backing track to fit more with the tone of the interviews.
I increased the sound of backing track as when playing out loud, it was too quite and could not really be heard above the interviewees voices.
Finally, we added an extra section at the end to lengthen the advert. We then split up the last voice over so that the gaps between statements was longer resulting in the words being more clear.
