Post World War I, European generals were trying to findthe best way to move solders, horses and equipment
from one place to another

The European generals recognized that a circus facessimilar transportation problem on an ongoing basis

PT Barnum’s Circus successfully transported personnel,equipment, and animals from one US town to another
INNOVATE
These European generals studied what made Barnum’sCircus transportation so smooth and efficient
They then adapted/innovated and applied these “bestpractices” to improve their own armies’ transportation

1. When trying to do anything better, study how thosewho are world class do it
2. Others may have already solved the problem
