SSC COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION

It is also known as SSC CGL and only graduates can appear for this exam. SSC conducts the Common Graduate Level Exam for all the graduates for the jobs in central government agencies like CBI, Income Tax, Excise, Customs, CVC, CAG as well as the other ministries of Central Government. The exam is usually conducted in the month of April/May every year. Applicants between the age of 20-28 years and of Indian origin can apply for this exam.

SSC Higher Secondary level(10+2)

SSC conducts exam at higher secondary levelfor the recruitment of Group C posts of Data Entry Operator in Pay Band-1, and Lower division Clerk in Pay Band-1 in various Central Government ministries/departments/offices. Minimum qualification for this exam is (10+2)from any recognized university or board. Applicants between the age of 18-27 and of Indian origin can apply for this exam.

SSC exam conducted in three tiers Tier 1(Prelims)- Consists of Maths, Reasoning, English and General

Knowledge. It comprises of 200 marks.

Tier 2- It comprises of objective questions of Maths and English only. It is of 400 marks.

Tier-3- The third tier involves interview and verification of candidates. It consists of 100 marks.

The SSC conducts the Combined Graduate Tier-1 only once in a year for the selection of candidates for Tier-2 exams

Those candidates who qualify in Tier-1 exam are further eligible to appear in tier-2 exam. The candidates who qualify Tier-2 exams will further be called for tier-3 exam. The qualified applicant will have to face an interview test of 100 marks
